Drop-In Center
Sponsored by Riverside Township
Seniors enjoy socializing over
a cup of coffee or playing cards. The drop-in center
is open every Tuesday from 9:00am to noon at Riverside
Township Hall. Free coffee and donuts are
always provided. A second senior Drop-In Center is
offered every Friday at the North Riverside
Public Library. Games and bakery are available
between 10:00am
and noon.

Citizen Assistance
The case manager of the
Southwest Suburban Center
on Aging is available at the Riverside Town
Hall the 2nd Monday of the month from 11:00am
to 1:00pm to help with senior's questions
and problems. Appointments are not necessary. Arrangements
can also be made at the Center for bus service of
for daily telephone "check-ups" for seniors
who live alone. You can call the center for assistance
any time at (708)354-1323.
Blood
Pressure Testing
Sponsored by Riverside Township
Free blood pressures will be
taken the second Monday of each
month between noon & 2:00pm at
the Riverside Town Hall. Testing
will also be conducted at the North Riverside
Village Commons on the first Wednesday of
each month between 9:00am & 11:00am.

AARP
55 Alive/Mature Driving Classes (Ages 55+)
The eight-hour AARP 55
Alive course, conducted over two days, helps
drives update
their knowledge and skills, prevent traffic crashes
and classroom refresher course covers age-related
physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules
of the road, and local driving problems.
You may be eligible for a discount on your auto insurance after you complete
the 8-hour classroom course.
