Gypsy Struts into North Riverside!
The North Riverside Recreation Community Theater presents the Musical "Gypsy". The show opens on Friday, April 25th and continues through Sunday, May 4th at the North Riverside Village Commons located at 2401 S. Des Plaines Avenue, North Riverside, Illinois. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and students with ID, and $7 for children under 12. Senior Fair 2008

The fair is a great resource for seniors and caregivers with over 50 exhibitors including the Secretary of State Mobile Unit for vision & license/ID renewal. and the State Treasurer's Cash Dash Program (find lost loot!). There will be free health screenings, raffles, Notary Public services, a Rules of the Road Class and mini-seminars. It all takes place at the North Riverside Village Commons, 2401 S. Des Plaines, North Riverside.

Law Enforcement Memorial Service

Since 1996, the Riverside Police Department has honored police officers that have given their lives in the line of duty at their annual memorial service. The service at Guthrie Park will include a flag ceremony, a bugle rendition of Taps, musical performance of Amazing Grace", twenty-one-gun salute and an address by Riverside's Police Chief, Tom Weitzel. Their will also be an awards ceremony following the service.

The Riverside Arts Center benefits many in and around our community with art classes and workshops, gallery exhibits, and studio time for artists and our outreach program, Jen's Kids, provides therapeutic art activities for children under hospital care at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.
